Alex Hunter details his best NBA player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Wednesday’s game between the Pelicans and the Pistons.
The Pelicans are hosting the Pistons on Wednesday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Detroit is favored by 8.5 points and this game carries a total of 230.5 points.
Let’s dive into three of my favorite player prop bets for Wednesday’s matchup between the Pelicans and the Pistons.
Best Pelicans vs. Pistons Player Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Duncan Robinson O 2.5 Made Three-Pointers (-153)
Duncan Robinson has been red hot from deep in his last five games, averaging 4.4 made three-pointers on 7.6 attempts per game. Robinson is shooting 57.9% from beyond the arc during this time and has hit at least four three-pointers in each of these past five.
Now, Robinson is facing a Pelicans defense that ranks 28th in defensive rating and is allowing the second-most made three-pointers per game this season (14.8). Robinson should stay hot in this spot and have no issues topping 2.5 made three-pointers.
Isaiah Stewart U 9.5 Points (-115)
With Jalen Duren (ankle) and Tobias Harris (hip) both healthy again, Stewart handles a much smaller workload. The veteran was starting with Duren and Harris sidelined, but with these two back for the last three contests, Stewart has reverted back to a bench role and is averaging just 6.3 points in 21.3 minutes per game.
Stewart hasn’t scored more than eight points in each of these last three, and while this is a strong matchup vs. the Pelicans (who rank 28th in defensive rating), this 9.5-point line is far too high for Stewart with Detroit’s frontcourt fully healthy.
Jordan Poole U 2.5 Assists (-115)
Jordan Poole’s role has diminished recently. In his 10 games in the new year, Poole is only averaging 21.3 minutes per game and has only topped 2.5 assists in three of these games. Poole is only averaging 5.5 potential assists per game during this span, plus this is a brutal matchup as the Pistons rank second in defensive rating this season.
Zion Williamson (illness) was downgraded to questionable. While Poole could see a few extra minutes if Williamson sits, he could suffer as a playmaker without Williamson. The forward has accounted for 19% of Poole’s assists this season.
