The Timberwolves recalled Freeman from the G League’s Iowa Wolves on Monday.
Minnesota will bring aboard Freeman — one of the organization’s three two-way players — as insurance in the frontcourt after Naz Reid exited Saturday’s 126-123 loss to the Spurs due to a shoulder injury. Freeman is averaging 35.6 minutes per game over his last six G League appearances but hasn’t yet made his Timberwolves debut.
