The Detroit Pistons may be without star Cade Cunningham for the second game in a row on Friday, Jan. 23.
Cunningham (left hip contusion, illness) is listed as “questionable” ahead of the Pistons’ 7 p.m. home game against the Houston Rockets. The newly-minted 2026 All-Star Game starter has missed six games this season, including their Jan. 21 road win over the New Orleans Pelicans due to illness.

However, Cunningham was spotted at the team’s morning shootaround at their practice facility in New Center on Friday.

Caris LeVert (illness) is listed as “doubtful” after missing the Pelicans win with an illness. Levert, a Michigan alumnus, has missed 11 games this season. Ron Holland (illness) and Duncan Robinson (lower back sprain) are both “probable” for Friday’s game.
The Pistons improved to 32-10 overall following their 112-104 win over the Pelicans. Just past the midway point of the season, they are off to their second-best start in franchise history.
