A massive winter storm is impacting travel plans for people across the United States, including professional athletes.Maine native Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks were scheduled to play in Milwaukee at 7 p.m. ET Sunday, but their game against the Bucks was postponed as a result of the storm.The NBA announced Sunday afternoon that the Mavericks-Bucks game at Fiserv Forum had been postponed due to the Mavs’ inability to leave Dallas as a result of inclement weather in the area.The Mavericks’ game against the Bucks would have been the second of a back-to-back. Dallas lost at home to the Los Angeles Lakers 116-110 on Saturday. Flagg finished with 16 points, seven rebounds, two steals and a team-high six assists. Former Mavs star Luka Doncic finished with a game-high 33 points and 11 assists for the Lakers and grabbed eight rebounds.The NBA also postponed Sunday’s game between the Denver Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies at FedEx Forum due to the weather in the Memphis area.The weather has also led to schedule changes for two NBA games on Monday. The Indiana Pacers at Atlanta Hawks game will tip off at 1:30 p.m. ET, while the Philadelphia 76ers at Charlotte Hornets game will start at 3 p.m. ET.In Maine, the G-League Maine Celtics were able to play Sunday’s home game at the Portland Expo against the Greensboro Swarm. The Celtics won 147-138.The ECHL’s Maine Mariners moved Sunday’s home game against the Trois-Rivieres Lions up by two hours due to the storm. The Mariners won 5-2 at Cross Insurance Arena.
