The Los Angeles Clippers prevailed 115-103 in this game here at Delta Center over the Utah Jazz on Tuesday, with Kawhi Leonard scoring 21 points and James Harden recording a 16-10 assist double-double.

Their ninth win in ten games gave Los Angeles the opportunity to take advantage of the miscues made by Utah, with 23 points.

Kris Dunn contributed 14 points, and he and Harden had nine steals, which once again reinforced the defensive supremacy of the Clippers. Brook Lopez also contributed 14 points to the effort.

Utah, which had issues with form, only won one of the final eight games. The Jazz was headed by Ace Bailey with 20 points, then by Lauri Markkanen with 19 points and two blocks.

The Jazz was missing starters Keyonte George (rest) and Jusuf Nurkic (illness), but Markkanen was back after several games off sick.

The Clippers punctuated a close game halfway through the third quarter, scoring six baskets out of seven shots to gain 73-61.

Dunn ended the scoring streak with two consecutive baskets and made nine out of the nine in the quarter. Harden and Lopez would then make it a 9-0 run by hitting three consecutive three-pointers to make the lead 19.

The Clippers showed resilience and teamwork despite Utah blistering off with a 29-18 lead in the first half, and having shown their ability to pull back double-digit leads with timely scoring spurts.

The victory is a second statement in a row by the Clippers in its quest to establish itself firmly in the Western Conference standings.
