Despite a significant amount of rumors, the Boston Celtics are yet to make a move ahead of the Feb. 5 trade deadline. However, that doesn’t mean one is, or isn’t in the pipeline. Joe Mazzulla’s team is currently second in the Eastern Conference, despite starting the season with low expectations due to a perceived retooling year.
However, the Celtics success over the first half of the 2025-26 campaign has likely changed the calculus, both for fans expectations and for the front office’s potential willingness to make a deadline move. After all, if Mazzulla’s team can continue performing at its current level, the Celtics could be in store for a deep postseason run.
