The Los Angeles Clippers’ season seemed doom after going 6-21 to start the 2025-26 campaign.

But after defeating crosstown rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers, by a score of 103-88 on Dec. 20, the Clippers managed to turn around its season and went on a 15-3 run. It was a mark many believed the team would be unable to achieve this season.

Robert Flom, who is the managing editor for 213Hoops, even responded to an X post claiming the Clippers would go 15-3 if Los Angeles acquired Sacramento Kings guard Demar Derozen in a trade by promising to “print and eat this tweet” if the Clippers won that many games.

If they go 15-3 in any stretch this season will print and eat this tweet

The Clippers have yet to acquire Derozen from the Kings.

But on Sunday, the Clippers took down the Brooklyn Nets by a score of 126-89 to officially reach the 15-3 mark. Los Angeles printed out Flom’s X post and posted it after the win, suggesting that Flom should fulfill his promise.

Flom Fulfilled His Promise

On Monday, Flom fulfilled him promise and physically ate his printed out tweet on an episode of Clips N Dip: A Clippers Podcast on YouTube. After eating his tweet, Flom spoke with NBA reporter Tim Cato about the experience.

“I didn’t think they’d get there. I didn’t think it was insane,” Flom said about the Clippers going on a 15-3 run. “…This team was horrible. You know, 6-21 was exactly a third of the NBA season. That’s 27 games. And they were, I can’t remember exactly, probably third-last in defensive rating, 24th in offensive rating.”

In the interview with Cato, Flom credited Kawhi Leonard, John Collins and younger players like Kobe Sanders and Jordan Miller for the turnaround.

Flom said Leonard has reached superstar status and Collins became a strong and athletic power forward. Meanwhile, Sanders and Miller stepped up in the absence of key veterans like Bradley Beal, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Derrick Jones Jr.

Flom also described how he approached the task of eating paper.

“I think eating the paper by itself would’ve been extremely difficult. So I made it with soy sauce, sesame oil, sriracha, and some honey. It worked fine. I also did have some sparkling water. I think, without having an actual liquid to get it down, it would’ve been very tough because, you know, you can’t really chew paper,” Flom said.

Clippers Responded to Flom’s Tweet After the 15th Win

Multiple players like Leonard and Collins and head coach Ty Lue also responded to Flom’s tweet after the win over the Nets on Sunday.

The Clippers’ next game will be on the road against the Utah Jazz at 7:00 pm PST.
