Idaho State Women’s Basketball is preparing for their annual Girls’ Basketball Individual Skills Camp.

The camp will teach skills ranging from the basics of dribbling, shooting, passing and defense; to more advanced lessons, featuring 1-on-1, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 opportunities.

The best part is current Idaho State players will be on hand to help teach skills and compete with the campers.

The camp is open to all girls 2nd-11th grade, with half day and full day options available.

Prizes, lunch, ISU shirts and end of camp awards are part of the package as well.

“I remember as a young girl myself attending a lot of these camps,” said Ashleigh Van Vliet, ISU women’s basketball assistant coach. “And it’s a great opportunity to learn. I mean, we have some of the best players here at Idaho State University…I think just also having the opportunity as young females to participate in sports, sometimes we don’t get as many opportunities.”

The camp runs June 23-26.
