Nebraska basketball is going to get a visit from class of 2026 four-star small forward Mathias Alessanco this weekend. He measures in at 6-foot-8 and is one of the top international prospects in his recruiting class.

He has played extensively on the international circuit and was invited to the NBPA Top 100 Camp this past year. He recorded eight points, five rebounds, and two assists per game in international play.

He recently had a game against the YNG Dreamers and scored 17 points, along with grabbing nine rebounds. Alessanco also holds offers from the Texas Longhorns and Michigan Wolverines.

Fred Hoiberg has had success with international additions to the program in the past. Ali is an intriguing player. He is shooting 50.7% from the field, and can be a high-volume scorer.

Sunday’s game against Illinois will certainly provide a nice backdrop for this visit, as Nebraska basketball looks to get its 21st win of the season.
