Make it three wins in the last four games for the New Orleans Pelicans.

A dominant third quarter Friday night at the Smoothie King Center allowed the Pelicans to race past the Grizzlies, 114-106.

Trailing 61-58 at halftime, New Orleans blitzed Memphis 35-15 in the third quarter to take a 93-77 lead into the final stanza.

The Grizzlies opened the fourth quarter on an 11-0 run to cut the deficit to 93-88 but the Pelicans steadied the ship and claimed a solid road win.

It was a bit of a breakout game for Derik Queen and Herb Jones.

After he seemingly had hit the wall of late, scoring in single figures in his last four games, Queen broke out with 22 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.

Hampered by injuries much of the season, Jones had his first double-figure scoring game since Dec. 18, scoring 16 points on 7 of 9 shooting with three steals.

Saddiq Bey was outstanding with 22 points, eight rebounds and three steals.

Zion Williamson was efficient, scoring 21 points on 7 of 10 shooting from the field. Williamson added seven rebounds and four assists.

The Pelicans won despite another very rough shooting performance by Trey Murphy III, who was just 2 of 14 from the field in an eight-point performance. In his last three games, Murphy has made just 12 of 56 field goal attempts (21%).

New Orleans separated from Memphis in transition and in the paint. The Pelicans outscored the Grizzlies 24-11 in fast break points and outscored Memphis 68-48 in the paint.

Now 13-37, the Pelicans face the second of a back-to-back on the road at Philadelphia Saturday.
