Before this, Kager was listed as having scholarship offers from DePaul and Toledo. Kager is actually the nephew of Toledo head coach Tod Kowalczyk.

The offer from Purdue, which spent a portion of this college basketball season ranked No. 1 in the country, could open the floodgates for Kager. It often only takes one powerhouse scholarship offer to bring in a lot of the other big-name programs, too.

Kager will surely make the most of whatever chance he gets. He’s got a great role model to follow.
