The Chicago Bulls look to end their three-game losing streak as they face Bam Adebayo and the Miami Heat. This is the third time the two teams will face each other this season, and the second game of three straight against the Heat. The Heat look to start a winning streak as they are currently the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference.
Bulls vs. Heat Preview
The Bulls will be traveling to Miami to start a four-game road trip, which begins with two back-to-back games against the Heat. In their last game, the Bulls lost to this very Heat team 116-113. The Bulls struggled to score consistently and put up a dreadful 39.4% shooting from the field. It ended up being a close game, but the Bulls struggled to pull the deficit to within five points until the last few minutes. The Bulls were able to make it close thanks to guard Ayo Dosunmu scoring a career-high 15 points in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, Dosunmu’s effort wasn’t enough, but he finished the game with a team-high 23 points.
On the other hand, the Miami Heat are now 2-0 against the Chicago Bulls after their win on Thursday. This was a one-game road trip and the makeup game for the game that was cancelled on January 8th due to condensation on the court at the United Center. Heat guard Norman Powell had 21 points and two clutch free throws and led the team to their third win in their last four games. The Heat now comes home for a three-game homestand, the first two games against the Bulls. The Heat are 15-8 at home this season. Â
Currently, the Heat have the highest pace in the league, and the Bulls have the fifth-highest. Both teams are top six in fastbreak points per game. While both teams play fast, the Heat have a top ten defensive rating, while the Bulls are ranked 24th. Bulls fans can expect a high-tempo game with both teams looking to push the ball and score quickly, but also expect better defense from the Heat.
