Keagan Smith details his best NBA player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Saturday’s game between the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat.
On Saturday evening, Eastern Conference foes go head-to-head as the Chicago Bulls head to South Beach to play the Miami Heat. The injury report is extensive on both sides, but that won’t stop the action as other players rise to the occasion in the meantime.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Miami is a -5.5 favorite at home with -205 odds to win on the Moneyline. The game total is set at 233.5 combined points.
Here are the top Bulls vs. Heat prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for this matchup.
Best Bulls vs. Heat player prop bets
Bam Adebayo over 20.5 points (-114)
There’s no doubt that Bam Adebayo has the chance to put forth one heck of a game tonight. The Heat’s star big man went through a bit of a slump to end December and start January, but he’s caught fire over the last couple of weeks. The three-time All-Star looks like his old self once more, posting 20+ points in all but one of his last 10 games with over tonight’s line of 20.5 in eight of those. He’s shooting a rather inefficient 44.3% from the field over that span, but showing an increased willingness to take shots from deep. Over the same sample, Adebayo has averaged 7.1 three-point attempts per game while connecting on 42.3% of those shots with an 3.0 made shots from beyond the arc per outing.
With that in mind, it also makes sense to target 3+ made threes for Adebayo at +167. However, I’m going with the slightly more reliable line instead, especially with the shot volume he should see. The big man averages 17.6 FGA over this recent stretch and will operate against a Bulls defense allowing 119.7 PPG and an average of 53.1 points in the paint, both marks which fall 26th in the NBA.
Ayo Dosunmu 3+ made three-pointers (+151)
The Bulls are missing a laundry list of players, possibly a result of the impending trade deadline for some of the names involved. Coby White is doubtful along with Nikola Vucevic, while Tre Jones, Jalen Smith and Josh Giddey are all ruled out. Among the players who will suit up are Ayo Dosunmu, Matas Buzelis, Kevin Huerter and Isaac Okoro. prop markets are a little thin for Chicago, but there is some value here even with a less-than-ideal situation.
I like Ayo Dosunmu to hit at least three shots from deep tonight. While he’s only done that twice over his last 10 appearances, the volume that’ll likely be available for the taking could be the factor that pushes him to this mark. The 26-year-old guard hits at a 44.1% clip from downtown this season on 4 attempts per game, both of which are career-highs over his five seasons in the league. That’s quite encouraging! Maybe he doesn’t go too shot-happy, but if Dosunmu assumes the lead role in the absence of the team’s three leaders in FGA per game, perhaps there’s a world where he takes over and this prop cashes. The Heat and Bulls are both near the top of the NBA in pace and Miami concedes the fourth-most 3PA at that, so the environment is right for this pick to work out.
