Jason Kidd hits back at concerns over Cooper Flagg role

Jason Kidd was firm in his response when asked about outside criticism surrounding Cooper Flagg playing point guard during his rookie season.

The Mavericks coach dismissed the concerns and stood by his approach to developing young players. Leaning on his own experience as a former NBA player, Kidd explained why he remains confident in his decisions.

“I don’t give a f— about the criticism. Criticism? That’s your opinion. You guys write that b——-. I’ve done this. I’ve played this game. I’ve played it at a very high level. I know what the f— I’m doing.”

“I don’t give a f— what you guys write, because you guys have never played the game. So I build players. So I know what the f— I’m doing. Taking criticism, it only makes me better.”
