Ball is averaging 4.6 points and 3.9 assists per game this season as a reserve guard. He has played in most of the Cavaliers’ games this season, and has been in better health than in recent years. Ball missed the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons due to complications from knee surgery.
Washington could be a good landing spot for Ball, who would presumably play off the bench and could start in a pinch. In addition, his salary is movable and could give the Wizards cap flexibility, which they have a good amount of.
