The Minnesota Timberwolves are riding a four-game win streak as they prepare for their second straight game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday at 6:30 p.m. CT. However, both sides have key injuries that may swing the game.

Without any further ado, let’s dive into a full injury report for both sides.

2/1 Timberwolves vs. Grizzlies injury reportAnthony Edwards (Back) – QUESTIONABLE Julius Randle (Thumb) – QUESTIONABLETerrence Shannon Jr. (Foot) – OUT

Both Timberwolves stars have an uncertain status ahead of Monday’s game. Edwards injured his back during Saturday’s game against Memphis. While Edwards played throughout the injury after the game, he admitted it was bothering him. It’s unclear when Randle’s thumb injury occurred, but if he misses tonight’s game, it will be his first game that he’s missed this season.

Of course, if Edwards and/or Randle are absent for Monday’s game, that will change things for the Wolves. Minnesota is 6-4 without Edwards this season, but one of these losses was against Memphis. Furthermore, if Randle is out or not at 100 percent, that would complicate things.

In any event, it’s fair to expect Jaden McDaniels to have a bigger role than usual. He scored 20 points against the Grizzlies on Saturday, and even if Edwards and Randle play, McDaniels could be empowered offensively.

Outside of Edwards and Randle, Terrence Shannon Jr. remains out with a foot injury. The second-year wing hasn’t played since Christmas Day, and it’s unclear when he’ll return.

2/1 Grizzlies vs. Timberwolves injury reportJaren Jackson Jr. (Quad) – QUESTIONABLEJa Morant (Elbow) – OUTSanti Aldama (Knee) – OUTBrandon Clarke (Calf) – OUTZach Edey (Ankle) – OUTJohn Konchar (Neck) – OUTScotty Pippen Jr. (Toe) – OUT

As has been commonplace for the Grizzlies in recent years, their injury report is lengthy. Thankfully for them, Jaren Jackson Jr.’s quad injury hasn’t been a long-term ailment. He only missed Saturday’s game and could very well be on the verge of making a return tonight.

If Jackson returns and the Wolves are missing one or both of their best players, this game suddenly becomes more challenging for Minnesota.

Ja Morant has been dealing with an elbow injury since January 21, and he won’t return until at least next weekend. While the Grizzlies were looking to shop Morant ahead of the trade deadline, his injury history makes a trade unlikely.

Zach Edey’s absence has also been notable; he hasn’t played since early December, and he won’t be active until mid-February at the earliest. Scotty Pippen Jr. has been out the whole season, but he should be nearing a return soon.
