Player Notes
• Anthony Edwards led the way for the Timberwolves tonight in Memphis, finishing with a game-high 39 points on 13-of-27 shooting and 10-of-14 from the free throw line, marking his 22nd 30+ point game of the season (113th career) and 14th 35+ point game of the season (57th career). Edwards added seven rebounds on the night, marking his 11th 35+ point/5+ rebound game of the season (44th career).
• Edwards has now tallied 20 or more points in a career-high 22 straight games, good for the longest regular season streak of 20+ points in franchise history (Karl-Anthony Towns, 21 from Jan. 26-March 13, 2017).
• Tonight marked Edwards’ fourth straight 30+ point game on the road against the Grizzlies tied with Joel Embiid and James Harden for the longest consecutive 30+ point streak at Memphis all-time.
• Jaden McDaniels ended the night with 29 points on an efficient 11-of-14 from the field, including a career-high-tying 5-of-7 from deep, marking his third straight 20+ point game and 13th of the season (41st career). McDaniels’ 13 20+ point games this season are a new single-season career high, besting his previous career-best of 12 20+ point games in 2024-25.
• Over his last seven games, McDaniels is averaging 15.9 points on 56.2% shooting, including 69.0% from three, 3.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. His 69.0% from deep is the best three-point percentage over a seven-game span in Wolves history and in the NBA this season (min. 25 3PA). It is the highest three-point percentage in a seven-game span for an NBA player since Pascal Siakam in 2023-24 (69.2% – Dec. 30-Jan. 12, 2024; also min. 25 3PA).
• With his third three of the night, McDaniels connected on his 521st career three-pointer (currently at 523), passing Andrew Wiggins for fourth on the Timberwolves all-time three-pointer list.
