The Oklahoma City Thunder will host the Orlando Magic on Tuesday. This will be the first matchup of the season between the two squads.
The Thunder (39-11) received a confidence boost in a 121-111 win over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander played like an MVP favorite with an efficient 34 points and 13 assists. Cason Wallace scored a career-high 27 points.
Meanwhile, the Magic (25-23) had a 112-103 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday. Desmond Bane scored 25 points against an opponent he’s familiar with. Paolo Banchero only had 19 points and 10 rebounds.
This could be a game the Thunder punt, considering their injury report. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (finger sprain) is questionable. Chet Holmgren (back spasms) is questionable. Isaiah Hartenstein (soleus injury management) is questionable. Jaylin Williams (shoulder contusion) is questionable. Alex Caruso (adductor strain) is doubtful. Jalen Williams (hamstring strain) is out. Ajay Mitchell (abdominal strain) is out. Nikola Topic (testicular surgery) is out. Thomas Sorber (torn ACL) is out.
Meanwhile, the Magic will be without their best player. Franz Wagner (ankle sprain injury management) is out. Colin Castleton (G League two-way) is out.
