Florida State guard Jamir Watkins was among the players who attended a predraft workout with the Toronto Raptors on Monday, the senior posted on Instagram.
Watkins was an All-ACC second-team selection this past season, averaging 18.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 steals on 32.1% shooting from 3-point range in 32 games. He ranked 11th in the country among all players in free throws (183).
The 23-year-old registered 12 20-point games, including a season-high 30 points, six rebounds and three steals on Nov. 9 in a win against Rice. He was the only player in the country to attempt at least 20 free throws in a game multiple times.
Watkins, who entered the transfer portal last month, declared for the draft while maintaining his last year of college eligibility. He is among the notable early entrant prospects who are still weighing their options to remain in the draft or return to school next season.
The 6-foot-6 standout competed in the draft combine earlier this month, emerging as one of the top performers after recording 23 points in his second scrimmage on May 15 in Chicago, Illinois. He also measured in with a 6-foot, 11 1/4-inch wingspan.
His visit with the Raptors is his first known predraft workout this cycle. He will use feedback from that workout, along with other information gathered at the combine, to decide on his future before the early withdrawal deadline on Wednesday.
