Keagan Smith details his best NBA player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Tuesday’s game between the Orlando Magic and Oklahoma City Thunder.
On tonight’s NBA schedule, the reigning champs take on a postseason contender in an inter-conference clash at 8 p.m. EST. The Oklahoma City Thunder welcome the Orlando Magic to the Paycom Center, but there are a number of notable names with questionable designations on the injury report.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Oklahoma City is a -8.5 home favorite with -310 odds to win on the Moneyline. The game total is set at 220.5 combined points.
Here are the top Magic vs. Thunder prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for this matchup.
Best Magic vs. Thunder player prop bets
Anthony Black over 15.5 points (-102)
The Magic face a tough test tonight, though the outlook could improve significantly if either of Chet Holmgren (back) or Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (finger) miss this contest. Both are questionable along with Isaiah Hartenstein (illness) and Alex Caruso (adductor), so there’s a chance the Thunder defense takes a significant hit in this one.
With that said, Orlando does have plenty of talent. Third-year guard Anthony Black is a notable name, sitting fourth on the roster in scoring with 15.9 PPG on 46.1% shooting from the field and 35.5% from three. He’s not exactly the most efficient player, but he does get the job done while flying under the radar of the national NBA media. Black has quietly found himself on a nice little stretch of play, seeing heavy minutes with games of 25 and 26 points across two of his last three outings. Beyond those two though, he also scored 20+ points three more times over his last 10 games.
While tonight’s line sits at O/U 15.5 points, I like the over given his track record. Black has scored at least 16 points in seven of his last 10 appearances and nine of his last 15 as well. Since midway through December when he had a seven-game stretch over tonight’s line, he actually averages 19.4 PPG while shooting 47.8% overall and 39.6% from three. If you cut the sample to 2026 alone, those marks still sit at 17.1 PPG with a 37.3% rate from three. Either way you cut it, Black has improved during this campaign and has a key role in the offense. Without Franz Wagner active (he’s still out tonight), Black’s number sits at 18.5 PPG with 14.5 shots per game.
Paolo Banchero over 8.5 rebounds (-135)
Given how the injury report looks at the time of publication, it’s a bit of a shaky proposition if you’re trying to bet on the Thunder’s prop bet lines. There are just so many moving parts here with the various injuries to key players, so I’m instead writing up a guy we know will be available and taking a second talent from the Magic.
Paolo Banchero is the pride and joy of this Orlando team, posting 21.7 points and a career-best 8.8 rebounds per game this season. While his scoring average is down, he has found other ways to contribute even when his shot isn’t falling. That’s where tonight’s prop market comes in. Banchero has posted at least nine rebounds in four consecutive games, notching 10 boards twice and 12 boards once in that span as well. hose came against some pretty tough frontcourt matchups as well in San Antonio, Toronto, Miami and Cleveland. If he can do that against teams with standout rebounders, then there’s not a ton of reason to worry tonight against Oklahoma City.
Of course, a lot depends on whether Holmgren and Hartenstein miss this tilt. If both do, there’s almost no question that Banchero can go over 8.5 rebounds. If one plays and the other doesn’t there’s still a very good shot he can exceed the line, and I don’t feel bad about taking the over even if both are active. The Magic’s star has recorded at least nine rebounds in 21/38 games on the campaign and hit this over in four straight contests as mentioned above. He should keep the streak alive against an OKC team that falls 25th in REB% at 48.5%.
