Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Injury Update vs. Magic Tonight
Gilgeous-Alexander is questionable with a right index finger strain vs. the Magic on Tuesday. Notably, the Thunder are on the front end of a back-to-back, as they’ll face the Spurs on Wednesday.
SGA is the most important part of the league’s top scoring offense, so OKC will have to make some major adjustments if he’s ruled out. In addition, C Chet Holmgren is also questionable.
Here’s the injury report for OKC’s home game against Orlando tomorrow:

The former Kentucky Wildcat averages 32.0 points, 6.4 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game this year. Only Luka Doncic averages more points per game (33.6).
SGA is flirting with his first-ever 50-40-90 season and is shooting 55.8% from the field, 39.1% from long range, and 89.3% on free throws.
OKC averages an NBA-high 120.3 points per game, but is also 2-0 without SGA this season, with a scoring average of 124.0 points per contest.
The Thunder have the depth to fill it up with their second and third options leading the way, but SF Jalen Williams has been ruled out, while Chet Holmgren has a questionable designation ahead of Tuesday’s matchup. That could force the Thunder to get creative.
Target Cason Wallace if SGA is Out on Tuesday?
Thunder G Cason Wallace is fresh off scoring a career-high 27 points against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday. The third-year defensive specialist was extremely productive playing alongside SGA as a starter, going 9-of-14 from the field, including 7 3-pointers.
While Wallace isn’t likely to be that hot from the field often, there are several angles worth considering for him in this matchup
PG Ajay Mitchell regularly operates as OKC’s lead guard when SGA is off the floor, but he’s set to miss a sixth consecutive game on Tuesday because of an abdominal strain. His absence has led to more shots for Wallace this season.
Wallace’s averages of 12.4 points and 3.0 rebounds over his previous five games are both above his 2025-26 averages. He’s shot 47.7% from the field and 46.4% from deep on 8.8 attempts per contest during that stretch. Wallace has a clear path to a larger role on Tuesday.
Another potential pivot is SG Lugentz Dort, who’s averaged 16.3 points over his previous 10 games without SGA and scored 13.0 points in his only appearance without the reigning MVP this season.
As of now, with SGA still questionable, Dort is projected to score 9.5 points on PrizePicks tonight.

Make Thunder vs. Magic Picks on PrizePicks
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander might not be healthy enough to play in the Thunder’s Tuesday matchup with the Magic. However, OKC has two defensive specialists in Cason Wallace and Luguentz Dort who can take on more responsibility than usual on offense if the league’s second-leading scorer isn’t available.
