Kon Knueppel is having a sensational rookie season for the Charlotte Hornets, averaging 18.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists as he battles former Duke teammate (and roommate), Cooper Flagg, for Rookie of the Year honors.
Next weekend, the Wisconsin native will try his luck and take on the best shooters in the world as Knueppel has accepted the league’s invitation to enter the three-point contest during All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles.
As of Wednesday, the Hornets’ star rookie ranks 19th in three-point shooting percentage at 42.5 percent.Â
The event takes place on Saturday, February 14.
