Eric Gordon is averaging 5.5 ppg this season for the 76ers.

Veteran guard Eric Gordon is headed to Memphis, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania, along with a 2032 second-round pick swap.

The Philadelphia 76ers are trading Eric Gordon and a 2032 second-round pick swap to the Memphis Grizzlies, sources tell ESPN. This gives the 76ers the flexibility to complete conversion of two-way Dominick Barlow.

A 17-year NBA veteran, Gordon is averaging 5.5 points per game and shooting 57.1% overall this season as a seldom-used reserve for the 76ers. He last appeared in a game on Dec. 23 and is mostly a veteran voice for VJ Edgecombe and Tyrese Maxey, Philadelphia’s young star guards.

The Grizzlies have been active at the trade deadline, most notably trading former All-Star and Kia Defensive Player of the Year winner Jaren Jackson Jr. to the Jazz.
