Purdue snapped a three-game skid with an emphatic 93-63 victory at Maryland on Sunday to improve to 8-3 in Big Ten play. Fletcher Loyer went off for 29 points while Braden Smith finished with 19 points and six assists. Gicarri Harris came off the bench for 12 points, and Trey Kaufman-Renn pulled down 10 rebounds as the Boilermakers shot 52.7% overall and hit 15-of-30 from 3-point range in the rout.

Oregon fell to 1-10 in conference action on Sunday with an 84-66 thumping at the hands of visiting Iowa. Kwame Evans Jr. led the Ducks with 18 points, with Takai Simpkins adding 16 and Dezdrick Lindsay dropping 10. Sean Stewart snared eight rebounds in the loss.

The Boilermakers won last year’s meeting, the first as Big Ten opponents, to take a 3-2 lead in the all-time series. Smith averages 15.3 points and a nation-leading 8.9 assists for Purdue, with Loyer getting 13.2 points per game and Kaufman-Renn putting up 12.8 points and 8.4 rebounds a night. Evans posts averages of 13.6 points and 7.2 boards for the injury-riddled Ducks while Simpkins scores 12.6 points per game.
