Arizona men’s basketball is off to the best start in Big 12 history after moving to 23-0 following a dominant 84-47 home win over Oklahoma State on Saturday.
Unsurprisingly, Arizona is a consensus No. 1 seed in every projection, per Bracket Matrix. The Wildcats have an inside track on the No. 1 overall seed as well. A host of sources have them there at the moment, including Bleacher Report, ESPN and CBS Sports.
Arizona has been No. 1 in the Associated Press poll for the past nine weeks. Seventeen of its 23 wins have been by double digits. KenPom.com ranks the Wildcats fifth in offensive efficiency, first in defensive efficiency and first overall.
The Wildcats do have a tough schedule up ahead, with their next four games against ranked teams (at No. 11 Kansas, vs. No. 13 Texas Tech, vs. No. 16 BYU and at No. 8 Houston). The KU game is first up on Monday at 9 p.m. ET.
