(MILWAUKEE BUCKS) – The Milwaukee Bucks are ready to begin a four-game road trip.
Milwaukee will take on the Orlando Magic tonight. This is the first of three meetings between the teams this season.
The Bucks have won three games in a row to enter the day at 21-and-29 on the season.
The game can be heard beginning with the pre-game show starting at 6 p.m. on 99.7 and 101.9 WNFL.
Roster move: The Milwaukee Bucks have signed free agent Cam Thomas.
A 6-3, 210-pound guard, Thomas appeared in 24 games (eight starts) with the Brooklyn Nets this season, averaging 15.6 points, 3.1 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 24.3 minutes per game. Brooklyn’s second leading scorer this season, Thomas reached double figures in scoring in 16 of his 24 appearances, including seven 20-point games, three 30-point games and a season-high 41-point performance on Oct. 26 at San Antonio.
The 24-year-old LSU product has appeared in 239 career games (88 starts) with the Nets after being selected by the team with the 27th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. Thomas, a Virginia native, owns NBA career averages of 15.2 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. A career 43.5% shooter from the field, Thomas has averaged at least 10.0 points per game in four of his five NBA seasons.
Portis in 3-point contest: Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis Jr. has been selected for the State Farm 3-Point Contest on 2026 NBA All-Star Saturday, the league announced today. Portis Jr. will compete in an event at NBA All-Star Weekend for the first time in his career, and he becomes the sixth player in franchise history to participate in the 3-Point Contest.
In his 11th NBA season, Portis Jr. is shooting a team-high 45.1% from behind the arc (T-5th in NBA) while making a career-best 1.9 threes per game. His .451 three-point percentage is the second-best in a season in his career, and it’s tied for the seventh-best three-point percentage in a season in franchise history. He’s totaled 92 threes through 48 games this season, putting him on pace to surpass his career-high 133 threes in the 2021-22 season. One of the NBA’s top sixth men, Portis Jr. ranks fifth in the NBA with a 46.5% mark from three when coming off the bench this season, his second-best three-point percentage as a reserve in his career.
Portis Jr. will compete in the State Farm 3-Point Contest alongside Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns), Kon Knueppel (Charlotte Hornets), Damian Lillard (Portland Trail Blazers), Tyrese Maxey (Philadelphia 76ers), Donovan Mitchell (Cleveland Cavaliers), Jamal Murray (Denver Nuggets) and Norman Powell (Miami Heat). The event tips off from Intuit Dome on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 4 p.m. CT on NBC/Peacock as part of NBA All-Star Saturday.
