Jayson Tatum to practice with Maine Celtics, will return to Boston Celtics for rehab

Forward Jayson Tatum will practice with the Celtics’ G-League team Monday afternoon, the team announced. Tatum will play in parts of the Maine Celtics practice before being recalled to the Boston Celtics, where he will continue rehabbing his Achilles injury, the team said in a statement. This comes 9 months after Tatum suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon during Game 4 of the 2025 Eastern Conference semifinals against the New York Knicks. As a result of the injury, Tatum has been unavailable for the Celtics’ 2025-2026 season, but a return to the team has not been ruled out.The Celtics did not provide more information on Tatum’s recovery.
