‘It was fun. Next question.’ Hornets forward shrugs off chaotic on-court fight vs. Pistons

  • February 10, 2026

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Hornets forward Brandon Miller had a blunt response when asked what it was like being on the court during a chaotic fight against the Pistons on Monday night.

“It was fun; next question,” Miller said during his post-game press conference.

A back-and-forth in the third quarter boiled over into a brawl on Feb. 9, resulting in four ejections after benches cleared.

The altercation started when Moussa Diabate fouled Detroit’s Jalen Duren as he went up for a shot. Though the contact appeared routine, the two got into a heated exchange, prompting Miles Bridges to step in on Diabate’s behalf. The situation escalated further when Pistons forward Isaiah Stewart charged off the bench and confronted Bridges, triggering another scuffle.

All four players — Diabate, Duren, Bridges, and Stewart — were ejected, and the Pistons went on to beat the Hornets 110–104, snapping Charlotte’s nine-game winning streak.

Bridges took to Instagram after the game to defend his team, writing, “Sorry, Hornets nation! Sorry, Hornets organization! Always gonna protect my teammates forever.”
