Keagan Smith details his best three-pointer player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for tonight’s NBA slate.

There are just four NBA games on the schedule on Tuesday night, but that doesn’t mean there’s a shortage of player prop bets available on DraftKings Sportsbook. One of the top markets to take a look at this evening are three-pointer props across the league — whether via overs or unders, there are plenty of ways to get in on the action from beyond the arc.

Without further ado, let’s hit the top three-point prop bets for this Tuesday NBA slate.

Jose Alvarado over 1.5 3PM (+135)

There are a few questions surrounding the role Jose Alvarado will play for the Knicks after making his way to the Big Apple via trade last week. However, his debut performance was a solid one with 12 points to go along with two rebounds, assists and steals apiece. More importantly, he played 25 minutes and took six three-pointers in that game against the Celtics two days ago, making two of his attempts from downtown.

A 36.3% three-point percentage isn’t the best by any means, but it’s certainly not bad either. Beyond that mark, what I really like about Alvarado is that he’s made at least two three-pointers seven of his last 10 appearances. The veteran averages 5.8 attempts per game over that span, making 1.9 per contest. Yes, the Pacers allow the fewest threes of any team, but I’m more confident the guard plays a key role tonight as he adjusts to his new surroundings. The plus odds and potential for the bench to see a little extra work in a blowout for the Knicks make this more intriguing, too.

Kawhi Leonard under 2.5 3PM (-121)

Yeah yeah, Kawhi Leonard is a robot who’s programmed at the MVP level this season. Honestly, it’s been an incredible campaign for the Clippers forward and he certainly deserves the All-Star recognition he’s now set to receive. After all, the guy’s putting up 28.0 points, 6.3 boards, 3.7 assists and 2.1 steals while shooting at a near 50%/40%/90% split… whew. He also comes off a 41-point outing with five made threes, so why would we fade him now?

Unfortunately, there aren’t any O/U lines on trees planted, but the under makes sense for his threes based on recent form. Leonard actually stayed under tonight’s line of 2.5 makes from beyond the arc in five consecutive games prior to his last contest and six of his last 10 in total. The Rockets allow the sixth-fewest made threes per game and both they and the Clippers are ranked near the bottom of the league in pace. There’s a wide range of wing defenders Houston can throw at Leonard, so it’s likely that he struggles a little bit from deep tonight.

Cooper Flagg over 1.5 3PM (+123)

We’re certainly watching the birth of a star in Mavericks rookie and reigning No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg. The 19-year-old comes off his most impressive stretch of play yet, scoring 49, 34, 36 and 32 points across four straight contests prior to a 14-point blip in his last outing. Over this five-game sample, the Duke product has made two or more three-pointers on four occasions, succeeding from downtown despite low volume of four-to-five attempts.

Flagg is still hitting at just a 30.4% clip this season, so shooting remains an area for significant growth over the coming months and years. However, I’m a fan and quite like the looks of this little hot streak the rookie has cooked up. Confidence is the name of the game with young players, and just seeing more of those long-range attempts go in may drive Flagg to try a few more in the coming days. Tonight’s game against a strong Suns defense may not be the best matchup, but the Mavericks are fourth in pace and should be able to raise the tempo some. With a green light that rivals the beacon across the lake from Jay Gatsby (any literary nerds here?), Flagg can capitalize on his newfound momentum to make this an interesting play at plus odds.

Victor Wembanyama under 1.5 3PM (+113)

A true freak of nature, Victor Wembanyama does things no hooper of his 7-foot-4 stature should be able to do. That rings especially true on the perimeter, with the third-year pro shooting a respectable 36.0% from deep while taking step-back threes and other circus shots off the dribble. However, things are often feast-or-famine from outside for the Frenchman. Over his last 10 games, Wembanyama has gone over 1.5 made threes in four contests with outings of four, five and seven splashes in that span, but blanking from beyond the arc in four more outings.

Knocking down those three-pointers has been a tough battle for Wemby as of late in particular. He’s stayed under 1.5 made threes in five of his last six appearances and six of his last 10, and that’s not even getting into some of the extra appeal behind the under tonight. The opposing Lakers list Luka Doncic, LeBron James and Austin Reaves as out for this matchup, meaning they’ll be extremely shorthanded against the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference. As a 12.5-point favorite, the Spurs are likely looking at a blowout, which could spell a short night for Wembanyama as the team keeps his minutes somewhat limited at times to protect his health.
