The NBA fined the Atlanta Hawks’ Mouhamed Gueye and ​the Minnesota Timberwolves’ ‌Naz Reid $35,000 each on Wednesday for their roles in an on-court ‌altercation ​during Minnesota’s ⁠138-116 victory on ⁠Monday in Minneapolis.

The Timberwolves were leading 106-97 when Gueye, a ​third-year forward, committed a defensive foul ⁠by pushing ⁠Reid from behind. ​Reid, a seventh-year center/forward, ​approached Gueye and the ‌players aggressively grabbed each other’s jerseys.

Both players were whistled for ⁠technical fouls and ejected.

Gueye finished with 10 points and ⁠seven ‌rebounds in ⁠20 minutes as ​a ‌reserve, while Reid ​contributed seven ⁠points, six rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in 21 minutes.
