Previously selected to play for the USA Stripes team in the 2026 NBA All-Star Game following the injury of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Miami Heat guard Norman Powell has been moved to Team World.
The 32-year-old guard has ties to Jamaica and has represented the national team in FIBA competitions, which allowed him to be moved to Team World.
Meanwhile, his spot on the USA Stripes team has been given to two-time All-Star De’Aaron Fox.
Powell is having a career year in his first season with the Heat, averaging 23 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game.
