Former NBA guard Ron Harper took a shot at Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James when discussing expectations of his sons to follow in his footsteps and make it to the association.
“I’m not LeBron James,” Harper told reporters Saturday. “I’m not going to tell my kids what they have do.”
Harper and his sons, San Antonio Spurs guard Dylan Harper and Boston Celtics forward Ron Harper Jr., competed in the Shooting Stars competition on Saturday.
They finished with 18 points in the first round of the event, but failed to advance to the final.
As for James, he’s currently in the midst of his second season as teammates with his son, Bronny. His youngest son, Bryce, is also a member of Arizona’s basketball team in college.
