Kawhi Leonard put on a show in front of a home crowd in Sunday’s All-Star Game.
The Los Angeles Clippers star, who played for Team USA Stripes in this year’s All-Star Game, posted 31 of his team’s 48 points in the third game of the night against Team World. The performance came in the Intuit Dome, home of the Clippers.
He made 11 of his 13 shot attempts, including six from deep, in just 12 minutes. Part of his absurd performance included an 11-0 solo scoring run.
Team Stripes won the matchup to move on to the final against Team Stars, and fans applauded Leonard’s tremendous showing.
Leonard has, perhaps quietly, been one of the best players in the league as of late. He’s currently putting up 27.9 points per game and has pulled the Clippers out of the weeds after a disastrous start to the season.
While the veteran hasn’t received a ton of recognition for his play this year, his performance in the All-Star Game should put the rest of the NBA on notice.
