Unfortunately, recent seasons have shown that Embiid’s injury struggles are impactful for the franchise’s success. Thankfully, the 2025-26 season has been a refreshing campaign because Embiid has been relatively healthy the entire season.
Edgecombe loves playing alongside Embiid
As a rookie, VJ Edgecombe has only been with the 76ers for a few months. Despite this short timeframe, he has fallen in love with the city of Philadelphia and the 76ers organization. At the same time, he has also learned to appreciate his teammates.
One of the teammates he loves playing alongside is Embiid. Almost everyone in the league knows that Embiid is one of the most fun teammates, and Edgecombe is enjoying his first year with Philly.

“He’s cool as hell, bro. He’s just chill. He is in his own little world. Yo, I swear I never seen someone like really that good. I just sit there watching him going at people,” Edgecombe said about Embiid on Club 520.
Embiid is one of the best players in the league, but some people have forgotten that because of his injuries. He is not at full strength, but he has shown some glimpses. With how Edgecombe is talking about him, Embiid is due for many more good performances.
