Guard

Stud

Tyler Herro, Miami Heat vs. Memphis Grizzlies ($7,400)

When Herro made his season debut back in late November, he received 30 minutes and put up 38.8 FPTS. He then played six games before succumbing to injury again. In his return, he received 29 minutes and finished with 32.2 FPTS. I’m expecting around 30 minutes once again and over 30 FPTS seems likely. That said, I think there’s some upside here because Memphis has been 28th in defensive rating over the last 15 games. It wouldn’t surprise if Herro gets into the 40 or 50 FPTS range.

Other Options: Tyrese Maxey ($9,700), De’Aaron Fox ($7,300), Norman Powell ($7,100), Kelly Oubre Jr. ($6,300)

Value

Devin Carter, Sacramento Kings at San Antonio Spurs ($5,100)

Carter has put up at least 22 FPTS in each of the last six games. The playing time has gone from the low 20s to around 30 minutes a night. Granted, the last three games have been blowouts, but that will likely be the status quo going forward in Sacramento. With Zach LaVine done for the season and the Kings in tank mode, Carter should continue providing a decent fantasy floor. He’s averaged 14 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.2 steals over the last six games.

Other Options: Nique Clifford ($5,700), Cam Spencer ($5,300), Dylan Harper ($4,800), Bryce McGowens ($3,400)

Forward

Stud

Kevin Durant, Houston Rockets at New York Knicks ($8,700)

For much of the season, I’ve been eschewing Durant because the upside wasn’t really there. The floor? Solid as always, but considering his price, not great. Well, he’s angry right now with the whole burner account thing and dismantled a very good defensive team in Charlotte last game, finishing with 59.5 FPTS. Now he’s in MSG? Oh baby.

Other Options: Norman Powell ($7,100), Saddiq Bey ($6,700), Jabari Smith Jr. ($6,600), Andrew Wiggins ($6,500), Kelly Oubre Jr. ($6,300)

Value

Precious Achiuwa, Sacramento Kings at San Antonio Spurs ($4,300)

Achiuwa has shown to be more than capable this season but the playing time has been all over the map, ranging from nine minutes to 39 minutes! With all the injuries, though, the playing time will likely be very secure the rest of the way. On Thursday, Achiuwa received 34 minutes and contributed 14 points, 10 rebounds, an assist, four steals and two blocks, which translated to 40 FPTS.

Other Options: Nique Clifford ($5,700), Tobias Harris ($5,500), GG Jackson ($5,200), Bryce McGowens ($3,400)

Center

Stud

Victor Wembanyama, San Antonio Spurs vs. Sacramento Kings ($10,700)

I’m not crazy about this play because it’s likely that the Spurs blow out the Kings and Wembanyama doesn’t sniff 30 minutes. That said, he’s such a per-minute monster, contributes in every statistical category and would likely be a big reason why there would be a blowout, so it’s hard to get away. On Thursday, Wembanyama only played 25 minutes yet finished with 50.2 FPTS.

Other Options: Bam Adebayo ($8,900), Jalen Duren ($7,700)

Value

Andre Drummond, Philadelphia 76ers at New Orleans Pelicans ($4,500)

When Joel Embiid sits, it’s Drummond who gets the start. On Thursday, Drummond played 28 minutes and finished with 38 FPTS. Embiid has been ruled out for Saturday so Drummond will likely get the start again. New Orleans is not beefy at the center position, so Drummond should have his way down low.

Other Options: Maxime Raynaud ($5,800), Paul Reed ($5,700), Jalen Smith ($5,600), Kel’el Ware ($5,400), Precious Achiuwa ($4,300)
