Even while sidelined, Jimmy Butler still is finding ways to connect with Dub Nation.

In a message shared with Warriors season ticket holders, Butler offered a rare, behind-the-scenes look at his emotions following his ACL tear, while thanking fans and promising his story in the Bay isn’t finished.

Jimmy Butler has shared the following statement with me and other @warriors season ticket holders:

“Dear Warriors Season Ticket Family,

I have played in front of many incredible crowds over my 15 seasons in the NBA, but there was always something about playing in the Bay Area…

Butler reflected on everything from the Warriors’ late-season surge to the energy inside Chase Center, even calling the fanbase “the loudest, most loyal and dedicated” in the NBA.

He didn’t shy away from the low point, either.

After tearing his ACL on Jan. 19 against the Miami Heat, Butler admitted he was “devastated” — not just for himself, but for his teammates and the fans who fueled the team’s run.

Still, the tone of the message is forward-looking.

Butler made it clear he’s already locked in on his recovery — and just as confident about what comes next.

“I can promise you that I will attack my rehab with a singular focus,” Butler wrote. “This story … is not complete. Not by a long shot.”

He ended the message with a promise:

“I will be back, and I need you back, too.”

If one thing is certain, it’s that Butler doesn’t lack motivation and his time with the Warriors isn’t done yet.
