—– Donovan Clingan and Jerami Grant lead the Trail Blazers past the Suns in Phoenix.

Donovan Clingan finished with 23 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocked shots and Jerami Grant added 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting as the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Phoenix Suns 92-77 Sunday evening at Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Both the Suns and Trail Blazers struggled on offense in the first half. Phoenix (33-25) led 27-26 midway thru the second but the two teams were a combined 3-of-29 from beyond-the-arc and each team was 11-of-33 shooting.

Portland (28-30) took control of the game with a 19-9 run over the final 5:53 of the first half and took a 47-40 lead into the locker room.

The Blazers would extend their lead to 20 late in the third and the Suns trailed by double-digits the rest of the way.

Deni Avdija exited the game just one-minute into the first quarter with a back injury and did not return.

Toumani Camara finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds and Scoot Henderson added 11 points and six assists off the bench.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers return home to meet the Minnesota Timberwolves Tuesday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
