More information has emerged about Portland Trail Blazers forward Sidy Cissoko’s new two-year contract with the team.

Update: The Trail Blazers signed Sidy Cissoko to a two-year deal, which is fully guaranteed the rest of this season and is non-guaranteed for the 2026-27 season, league sources told @hoopshype. Cissoko has started 24 of 52 games this season, averaging 6.3 points and 2.5 rebounds.

Cissoko, 21, has been an inspiring standout for the Blazers this season after injuries throughout the roster unexpectedly pushed him into the regular rotation. The third-year forward had used up all 50 of the NBA appearances allotted to him on his two-way contract before the NBA All-Star break, so the franchise had to convert the deal to a standard contract if they wanted him to suit up again this season.

To create roster space for Cissoko’s new deal, the Blazers waived wing Rayan Rupert, who is now with the Memphis Grizzlies on a 10-day contract.
