Kings at Rockets picks and predictionsPrediction
Rockets 117, Kings 101
The Kings finally broke through with a win, but it took going against a t0eam struggling nearly as badly to do so. They are still only 4-26 on the road, and their previous road win was Dec. 6. Don’t expect them to win consecutive road games.
The Rockets are 19-7 at home, although they have lost 3 of their last 5 home games. Even still, the Rockets are coming off a 20-point win over a struggling road team, like the Kings are. They should handle business against the Kings, although you should go with the spread instead of the -900 odds on the ML.
PASS.
The Kings have now covered the spread in 2 straight games. They were 5-11 ATS in their 16 consecutive losses. They had lost 4 consecutive games by at least 17 points before their win.
The Rockets are only 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games, but the 20-point win over the Jazz should set things right. The Rockets beat the Kings 121-95 in Houston Dec. 3.
BET ROCKETS -13.5 (-115).
The Kings have allowed 120 or more points in 5 of their last 6 games, giving up 128.6 points per game over their final 5 losses. However, the Under has cashed in 7 of the Rockets’ last 10 games and in 2 of 3 against the Kings.
The Kings have failed to score 100 points in 3 of their last 5 games.
BET UNDER 222.5 (-110).
