In Monday’s loss to the Rockets, Lauri Markkanen led the way for the Jazz as he recorded 29 points and three rebounds while Brice Sensabaugh added 26 points and three rebounds of his own off the bench.

Now Utah will try to bounce back at home on Thursday as they face off against a struggling Pelicans team.

On the other side, New Orleans enters Thursday’s contest with a 17-42 record after defeating the Golden State Warriors at home on Tuesday night.

Zion Williamson led the way for the Pelicans in Tuesday’s victory as he ended the game with 26 points and six rebounds while Saddiq Bey recorded 18 points and six rebounds.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Thursday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

New Orleans has ruled out Trey Murphy III due to a right shoulder contusion as he will miss his fourth consecutive contest.

With Murphy III sidelined once again, Dejounte Murray, Jordan Poole and Jeremiah Fears could all continue to have increased roles.

The Pelicans have also ruled out Yves Missi due to a left calf strain as he will miss his fifth straight game.

With Missi still sidelined, DeAndre Jordan and Karlo Matkovic will likely both continue to have increased roles.

Utah has listed Markkanen as questionable due to a right ankle sprain and right hip impingement that he suffered during practice on Wednesday.

If Markkanen is sidelined, John Konchar and Sensabaugh could both be in line for increased roles.

The Jazz have also listed George as questionable due to a right ankle sprain and he is in danger of missing his sixth consecutive contest.

If George remains sidelined on Thursday, Isaiah Collier will likely continue to start in his place until he is cleared to return.

Jaren Jackson Jr., Jusuf Nurkic, Walker Kessler and Vince Williams Jr. have all been ruled out as they are set to miss the remainder of the season due to injuries.
