The storied franchise also logged a 111-98 win that took place at their home arena of that era, the old Boston Garden, vs. the Dallas Mavericks in 1990. Hall of Fame Celtics forward Larry Joe Bird led all players that night with a total of 31 points. The Hick From French Lick (as Bird was at times called) also put up 12 rebounds and 5 assists on 13-of-22 shooting from the floor overall, including hitting 2-of-4 attempts from beyond the arc, and forward Michael Smith added another 21 points and 5 boards.
