The Indiana Pacers face the New York Knicks in Game 5 of a best-of-7 Eastern Conference Finals series Wednesday. Tip-off from Madison Square Garden is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET (TNT / truTV / Max). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA Playoff odds around the Pacers vs. Knicks odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Series record: Pacers lead 3-1

G Tyrese Haliburton has the Pacers on the brink of their first NBA Finals berth since Reggie Miller took them in 2000. Hali had 32 points, 15 dimes, 12 boards and 4 steals in Game 4. He’s now averaging 24.3 points, 11.0 assists, 7.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game in the series. When Hali wasn’t hitting buckets, he was dishing to F Pascal Siakam in the corner, who went 3-for-4 from downtown in Game 4 and had 30 points of his own.

This series isn’t over by any means as the Knicks need to win 2 at home and 1 on the road — where they won Game 3. G Jalen Brunson had 31 points on 11-for-12 from the free-throw line in Game 4. A potential problem, though, is C Karl-Anthony Towns banged knees with G Aaron Nesmith and was hobbling the rest of the night. He’s listed as questionable, but it’s unlikely he sits.

Pacers at Knicks picks and predictionsPrediction

Knicks 120, Pacers 118

Coming into this series, I wrote that this one should go 6 or 7, and I stand firm — it’s going 6. That means the Knicks take this one, but I’m not paying -185. I give them about a 60% chance, which would be odds around -150.

The Knicks lost both games at home to open this series, but they have enough left in them to get this one. Both of those games, they led by 3+ at the half and just couldn’t outlast the Pacers. BetMGM Sportsbook has a first half spread boost to take KNICKS TO COVER -2.5 (+100).

As mentioned, I give the Pacers about a 40% chance to win this game outright, and that is what their +150 ML is sitting at. I’ll take PACERS +4.5 (-110), as KAT is banged up and they found ways to win Games 1 and 2 in this building.

The Over is 2-2 in this series with it cashing in Games 1 and 4 in each building. The Over is 6-4 in the last 10 meetings and 3-3 in NYC.

So I’m going with my gut and taking the OVER 222.5 (-115).
