To celebrate 313 Day, McDonald’s is offering a special meal and giving people the chance to win suite tickets to a Detroit Pistons game.
“Detroit is a city built on resilience, creativity and community, and 313 Day is the perfect moment to celebrate what makes our hometown so special,” said Brian Temple, McDonald’s owner and operator in Detroit and surrounding communities. “As local owner/operators, we’re proud to honor Detroit’s culture while bringing people together over a meal that reflects the spirit and flavor of this great city.”
To celebrate Detroit’s iconic 313 area code, which is honored each year on March 13, McDonald’s is offering the 313 Day Meal, according to a release from the company. The meal includes the following:
Double Filet-O-Fish
4-piece Chicken McNuggets
Medium Boston Cooler
The 313 Day meal will be available from March 9 through 13 at participating McDonald’s locations after breakfast hours.
People who purchase the 313 Day Meal will also have the chance to get a free limited-edition 313 Day shirt that was designed by local creative Allison Sims.
The shirts will be available to people who order the meal on March 13, while supplies last, according to the news release.
This year, there is also a sweepstakes that offers one person the chance to win suite tickets to a Detroit Pistons game for themselves and 17 friends.
From March 9 through March 13, people who buy the 313 Day Meal will receive a QR code sticker that lets them enter this sweepstakes.
Whoever wins will get the private suite experience, which features McDonald’s and Vernors merchandise and a special pre-game experience.
