NBA:

The Trail Blazers matched their largest victory margin of the season beating the Indiana Pacers 131 to 111 last night. Scoot Henderson had a team-high 28 points in 26 minutes. Deni Avdija also played well in his return to the line-up

Charlotte visits tomorrow night for the second night of the Blazers three-game homestand

 

College Basketball:

The West Coast Conference Tournament had both Oregon State Men’s and Women’s teams with byes into the quarterfinals. The Women’s team beat Portland yesterday for a trip to the semifinals today at noon to battle top-seeded Loyola Marymount.

The Beavers Men pulled out a 1-point win over San Francisco yesterday to set up a semi-final match up with top-seeded Gonzaga tonight.

The Oregon Men open play in the Big 10 tournament tomorrow. The Ducks take on Maryland in Chicago.

SOFTBALL:

Number 18 ranked Oregon hosted OSU and 2 other teams in the Jane Sanders Classic. The Ducks went 4 and 1 with Big 10 play starting this week with Penn State coming to the Jane.

Oregon State went 1 and 4 after a win yesterday in their final game in Eugene. The Beavers will get first crack at the visiting Nittany Lions tomorrow.

 

College Baseball:

Number 18 Oregon State has won the first three games of their home-opening series at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field. The four-game tilt with Xavier finishes this afternoon.

Number 23 Oregon got Big 10 conference play going with a two games to one series win at Purdue.

 

LOCAL:

OSAA State Basketball

Boys 2A, Trinity Lutheran is the state champion

5A Boys Crook County, and Summit advance to state quarterfinals.

Girls 5A first round has top seed Redmond, and Crook County move on this week’s state quarterfinals.

The State Alpine Ski races had Bend take 2nd in Combined Boys and Girls and Summit 2nd.
