King of the Court is back every Tuesday on DraftKings Sportsbook! Garion Thorne makes a couple contrarian picks for tonight’s slate.
DraftKings will be running it’s popular King of the Court promo on tonight’s 11-game NBA slate. Users who opt have the chance to split $2 million in bonus bets by placing a player prop bet on the DraftKings Sportsbook on the player who ultimately leads that night in total points, rebounds and assists.
Seems simple enough, right? Why wouldn’t you just place a bet and use your token on the highest usage option on that slate and call it a day? Well, the bonus bet split is smaller depending on how popular the player is with the betting public, so there could be some value in taking a contrarian approach. That means no Luka Doncic, Cade Cunningham or Giannis Antetokounmpo picks in this article.
With that in mind, here are a couple under the radar King of the Court picks for Tuesday night’s basketball action.
King of the Court Value Picks
Josh Giddey, Chicago Bulls
It’s easy to forget about Giddey, who was injured for a majority of January and February. It doesn’t help that the Bulls are in the middle of a late-season tank, either, after trading away several assets at the deadline. That said, the former sixth-overall pick is seemingly back at full-health, having logged at least 32 minutes in each of his last three starts. Unsurprisingly, that volume has lead to a lot of counting stats for the point guard — as has always been the case in Giddey’s time in Chicago. In fact, Giddey’s registered a triple-double in two of his three contests in March, which includes a 15-point, 12-rebound, 10-assist effort in Sunday’s loss to the Kings. Giddey will need to score at a slightly higher clip if he wants to be King of the Court, yet it’s clear that his ceiling is massive when it comes to the secondary stats. Things are also lining up pretty nicely for the Australian. Not only have the Warriors struggled to a ghastly 119.6 defensive rating across their past five matchups, but the Bulls’ guard depth is perilous entering Tuesday’s tilt. Anfernee Simons (wrist) and Jaden Ivey (knee) remain sidelined, while Collin Sexton is questionable with a leg issue. If Sexton ends up sitting, Giddey should have little to no competition for usage.
Associated Prop Bet: Josh Giddey Double-Double, Yes (-134)
Russell Westbrook, Sacramento Kings
Another lead guard on an awful team. Westbrook made headlines last week with a tirade against the local Sacramento media, and that’s really been the only notable moment during this bore of a Kings season. However, Sacramento is still lacing up and playing in these entirely forgettable games, and Westbrook is still the guy getting a majority of the touches and leading the squad in usage (26.1%). Heck, following a 23-point, 12-assist, 11-rebound performance in a victory this past Sunday, the 37-year-old actually ranks fifth in the NBA in triple-doubles for 2025-26, trailing only the likes of Nikola Jokic, Jalen Johnson, Luka Doncic and the aforementioned Giddey. Should any of this be shocking? The last half-decade of Westbrook’s career has felt more about a quest for stats than wins, so he’s sort of a perfect dark horse King of the Court candidate on Tuesday evening. His matchup also helps matters. The Pacers are winding down a lost campaign of their own and are allowing 128.6 opponent points per 100 possessions across their last five games. Even the Kings should be able to take advantage of Indiana’s defensive lapses.
Associated Prop Bet: Russell Westbrook 8+ Assists (+110)
