INDIANAPOLIS – Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green couldn’t let that opportunity pass.

After leaving Milwaukee Bucks big Ousmane Dieng stumbling to the floor off his move in which he abruptly stopped and extended his left arm, Green pointed at him with his right shooting hand and knocked down a midrange jumper in the first half of Tuesday’s 129-114 win at Fiserv Forum.

“I’m always for getting the fans involved,” Green said after the game. “Getting the crowd hyped doing things like that. It’s part of my game. I saw him on the floor. I was going to do something. Either point at him or turn around or something.”

The play got an ‘oooh’ reaction from the fans, but the Suns bench erupted with injured forward Dillon Brooks laughing and reenacting Green pointing at the defender.

“Everyone was just like aaaah,” said Green as he put his hand over his face. “It was crazy. Fun moment for sure.”

Fun has always been a keyword for Green.

He’s having a lot of it right now in playing a major role in Phoenix’s three-game winning streak heading into a March 12 matchup against the Indiana Pacers (15-50) at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Green is averaging 24.6 points during this win streak, scoring 25, 24 and 25 points in Phoenix (38-27) victories over the New Orleans Pelicans, Charlotte Hornets and Bucks.

“I’m the type of person that plays with joy and fun,” Green said. “It’s fun out there when you’re winning. That’s a main part of my game.”

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (34) drives towards the basket against Phoenix Suns forward Oso Ighodaro (11) during the first quarter at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, on March 10, 2026.

Green set the tone Tuesday with 14-point first quarter on 5-of-7 shooting (2-of-4 from 3).

“He got it going,” Suns coach Jordan Ott said.

He outscored the Bucks, 7-0, to start the game.

“It just opens up the floor,” Suns All-Star Devin Booker said. “Forces teams to be in rotations. It creates a lot of easier looks for everybody.”

Green has played just 17 games in his first season with the Suns mostly due to a right hamstring injury. He and Booker have only played a total of 174 minutes together over 12 games, but they’re starting to find some on-court synergy.

Booker and Green accounted for 45.5% of the team’s points in this three-game surge, scoring 163 of Phoenix’s 358 points.

“They’ve got to make a decision each night,” Green said. “It’s not just a 1-2 punch. It’s everybody coming in.”

Booker scored a team-high 27 points in Tuesday’s win.

“With Book out there, a lot of attention is going to be on Book,“ Green said. “A lot of opportunity out there. Once they adjust and everyone gets going, it’s pretty hard to stop.”

Booker and Green combined for 52 points against the Bucks to mark the second time this season they’ve each scored at least 25 points in the same game.

“We knew we could get good looks against them,” Suns guard Collin Gillespie said. “Drive-and-space stuff, but JG had it going really early. So just try to find him and then Book got it going at the end of the first, second quarter. So when those two guys get it going, they get hot so kind of find them, get them the ball. Give them their space and let them go to work and kind of create and make plays for us.”

Green has shaken off a seven-game shooting slump after the All-Star break as he’s connected on 26-of-56 attempts in his last three games, going 10-of-29 on 3s.

In his previous seven games, Green went 32.8% (44-of-111) overall, 20.7% from distance (12-of-58). He consistently finished around the basket as of late with dunks and layups in transition and in traffic, showing he’s growing more confident in his right hamstring.

“Felt good, felt good,” Green said. “Ready for the next game.”
