It will be the third meeting of the season between the two teams. The Pistons came out victorious in both of the first two matchups.

Tyrese Maxey ruled out vs. Grizzlies due to right finger tendon sprain

Unfortunately for Philly, they’ll be missing some key contributors for the game in Detroit.

All-Star guard Tyrese Maxey has been ruled out of the game due to a right finger tendon sprain. It will be the third consecutive game missed by Maxey due to the issue. Maxey will be sidelined for the next few weeks, at least, as he continues to heal.

On the season, Maxey has played in 61 games for Philadelphia and posted averages of 29.0 points, 6.7 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 2.0 steals per performance. He’s also leading the entire league in minutes per game.

In addition to Maxey, the Sixers will also be without star center Joel Embiid for the game in Detroit, as Embiid has been ruled out due to a right oblique strain. It will be the seventh consecutive game missed by the big man.

Paul George (suspension) and Kelly Oubre Jr. (left elbow sprain) will also be on the sideline for Philadelphia. Given all of these absences, getting a road win over the team with the top record in the Eastern Conference projects to be pretty difficult for the Sixers.
