With just one day left until Selection Sunday and March Madness just around the corner, it’s crunch time in conference tournaments around the country.

In the Big Ten, Michigan has run roughshod over the conference and looks like one of the best teams in the country this season. The Wolverines went 29-2 this season and only truly slipped up briefly in a loss to Wisconsin back in January.

Wisconsin missed its first six shots of the second half as Michigan is stepping up its defensive pressure in the half-court. That skid was finally broken by John Blackwell, getting a short jumper in the lane after pump-faking himself free.

But Michigan has a 37-31 lead after a layup by Yaxel Lendeborg. A TV timeout is called at the 15:26 mark.

At the half, Aleksas Bieliauskas leads the Badgers with 9 points, while John Blackwell has 7. Trey McKenney has 7 points for Michigan.

Wisconsin had missed its last six shots from the floor, giving Michigan a chance to take the lead. However, Trey McKenney’s layup attempt was blocked by Austin Rapp and Nick Boyd took the ball down the court for a fast-break layup.

We are back for another day of Big Ten action, but there’s still about a half hour until the tip of the first semifinal between Michigan and Wisconsin.

The Badgers are one of only two teams that knocked off the Wolverines this season (the other being Duke). They did so back on Jan. 10 in a back-and-forth 91-88 affair. Wisconsin guards Nick Boyd and Jonathan Blackwell came up huge in that win, scoring 22 and 24 points, respectively.

Will Michigan get its revenge, or does Wisconsin have the Wolverines’ number?

The Bruins pull off the upset despite a furious finish from Tom Izzo’s Spartans. UCLA had a 15-point lead at one point but MSU just wouldn’t quit. It came down to the final few possessions and free throws.

Donovan Dent was an offensive machine for the Bruins with 23 points and 12 assists. Jeremy Fears had a great game of his own for the Spartans with 21 points and 13 assists.

The Bruins are still up on the Spartans, but it’s still anyone’s ballgame as the game ticks inside the 3-minute mark.

Jeremy Fears Jr. just cut UCLA’s lead to 4 points with an and-one play.

The Bruins have come up with clutch turnovers and 3-pointers and have Tom Izzo’s team on the ropes. But does Coen Carr have enough dunks in him to get Michigan State closer?

Plenty of time left, but UCLA is in control of No. 3-seeded Michigan State. Donovan Dent with a shot to complete a 3-point play. He has 18 points with a trip to the free-throw line after this timeout.
