The Chicago Bulls are getting prepared for the future as the 2025-26 NBA regular season winds down. They are projected to have a top-10 pick in this year’s draft and can land a strong player. There are a lot of intriguing players who are expected to be in the NBA Draft, and we have a chance to get a good look at them during March Madness. One outlet released its recent mock draft ahead of the NCAA Tournament, so let’s take a look at who Chicago would wind up taking.

Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Wasserman wrote a full NBA mock draft ahead of the NCAA Tournament. For the Bulls, he gave them the ninth pick and selected Arizona Wildcats guard Brayden Burries. Below is the breakdown he provided on Burries:

“After a slow start for Brayden Burries, belief and interest around his potential has gradually snowballed with the consistent scoring outputs. He’s the type of guard who doesn’t need flashy self-creation off the dribble to get to the rim or hit jumpers. He has been super efficient in ball-screen situations getting downhill and pulling up in the mid-range.

“He’s had lots of success attacking closeouts and space in transition, using his frame well to shield defenders and create easy finishing angles. Certain evaluators just may have a difficult time picturing upside in a 6’4″, limited playmaker.”

The 20-year-old freshman has been one of the top shooters in the nation, posting a 49.2/36.7/80.4 shooting split in 34 games. He’s also averaging 15.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.6 steals in 29.5 minutes per game. Burries would be an excellent pick for the Bulls, pairing with Josh Giddey in the backcourt.

It will be interesting to see how players perform in the NCAA Tournament, as some other flaws will pop up for players. Chicago will have scouts at games to figure out who they should be locking in on when they are officially on the clock.
