The Los Angeles Lakers are 3-0 so far on their challenging six-game road trip after two wins over the Houston Rockets and one over the Miami Heat on Thursday. They will look to get another victory against a good team away from home when they visit the 38-31 Orlando Magic on Saturday.
The Magic are in seventh place in the Eastern Conference and have been without star forward Franz Wagner, who is second on the team in scoring average, for over a month. Los Angeles, meanwhile, is on an eight-game winning streak and is in third place in the Western Conference with a 45-25 record.
Maxi Kleber will once again sit for L.A., while Austin Reaves is questionable due to left hip soreness.
For Orlando, Wagner, guard Anthony Black and forward Jonathan Isaac are expected to be out, while center Wendell Carter Jr. is questionable.
After Saturday’s matchup, the Lakers will head to the Upper Midwest to take on the Detroit Pistons on Monday. While the Pistons have the Eastern Conference’s best record, Cade Cunningham, their best player, is out after being diagnosed with a collapsed lung.
